Prutha Jain (b.1997, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh) completed her BFA, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat, 2019, and MFA, Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida, 2021.
Her works have been exhibited in group shows at Lalit Kala Akademi, Surat, 2016; Swaraj Kala Vithika, Bhopal, 2018; Indian Film Project, 2018; VR Complex, Surat, 2019; October School Digital Program, 2020; Horniman Museum and Gardens, London, 2023; Tulika Art Gallery, Mumbai, 2024; Fluxus Chapel, Mumbai, 2024. Her practice is rooted in public art, cultural memory, and social histories, combining process-driven, site-specific engagements with her background in critical research and writing. Moving seamlessly between creating and curating, she explores how art impacts collective experience while reinterpreting the significance of objects and histories in a wider sociocultural context.
