NEERAJ YADAVA b. 1987

Neeraj Yadava (b. 1987, Uttar Pradesh) completed his MFA at Kala Niketan, Gwalior, M.P.

His works have been exhibited in solo shows at ICCR Gallery, Bhopal, 2012; Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi, 2013 and 2016. His works have been exhibited widely in group shows, including Art Mall, New Delhi, 2009, 2010; Mistiq Art Gallery, New Delhi, 2009; Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi, 2010, 2013, 2014.

He has been awarded the Special Award "RET SE RET" by the Visual Art Department, University of Allahabad, 2008; the Sambhavana Kala Manch Award, Gazipur, 2009; the Art Mall Award, New Delhi, 2010; and the Prafulla Dahanukar Uttar Pradesh State Award, 2018.

His practice is rooted in abstract painting that transforms the essence of village life into imaginative forms and colours. Guided by intuition, his process begins with simple strokes that evolve into layered abstractions, free from worldly thoughts.

Neeraj currently lives and works in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh, India.
