NAMRATA KUMAR b. 1987

Namrata Kumar (b.1987, New Delhi) received her Diploma in Visual Communication Design at Srishti School of Art, Design & Technology, Bangalore, 2010.

She worked with multiple design studios as a visual communication designer before establishing an independent practice as an illustrator, painter, and ceramist in 2016.

Rooted in illustration, painting, and ceramics, her practice demonstrates an enduring fascination with colour as a transformative force. She is drawn to deep, saturated tones that create immersive, contemplative visual environments. Her chromatic compositions are enriched by delicately rendered surface textures, which introduce depth and complexity, attuning both maker and viewer to a deeper cosmic rhythm.

Namrata currently lives and works in New Delhi, India.
