DARSHINI DALWADI PATEL b. 1988

Darshini Dalwadi Patel (b. 1988, Ahmedabad, Gujarat) completed her B.V.A. in Applied Art, M.S.U, Baroda, 2009; and her M.Des in Textile Design, NID, Ahmedabad, 2014.

Her works have been exhibited in group shows in India at Amdavad ni Gufa, Ahmedabad, 2025; 079 Stories, Ahmedabad, 2025; Anant Art Gallery, Delhi, 2025; and Exhibit 320, Delhi, 2025. She was selected for Residency at Space Studio, Vadodara, 2025.

Her practice is rooted in themes of abstraction, terrain, material tension, and immersive spatiality, using reclaimed materials from abandoned industrial sites to create tactile landscapes embodying memory, erosion, touch, and transformation. Through fabric manipulation, natural dyeing, and mark-making, she continues her exploration of how observation and sustainable practice reveal nature’s profound transformations over time.

Darshini lives and works in Vadodara, Gujarat, India.
