Owanka’s ceramic sculptures embody conceptual object-based works which stem from an exploration of clay’s natural textures and rhythms. She embraces its plasticity to create forms that balance space, movement, and introspection. For her, making is a meditative process where hand and mind converge, allowing simple lumps of clay to transform into expressive three-dimensional interpretations.
