Kaushik Charoliya (b. 1992, Ahmedabad, Gujarat) received his Diploma, Painting, Sheth Chimanlal Nagindas College of Fine Arts, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, 2017; and Post Diploma, Printmaking, Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayajirao University. Baroda, 2022.

Kaushik embraces the beauty of the mundane, finding inspiration in the simple and joyful moments of daily life. Through mixed-media paintings infused with patterns rooted in Indian textiles, he rejuvenates flat colours with warm, vibrant shades, celebrating the quiet influence of the people around him who spread happiness selflessly, without expecting anything in return. His work invites viewers to pause, reflect, and connect with the shared tapestry of human emotions.

The Series Untitled 1-4 is inspired by people and everyday life, drawing from the quiet peace found within a garden in the midst of a bustling city. Parks become spaces where people of all generations gather, share moments, and slow down time. Surrounded by greenery and calm, the artist observes these small interactions and daily stories that unfold around him. Sitting in the park, watching life pass by, he finds solace and simple happiness—moments that quietly shape and inspire these works.
