Durga’s practice is rooted in indigenous art and craft, where sustainable traditions meet contemporary innovation. By reinterpreting forms that erode over time, he preserves cultural memory while adapting it for the present. Working with diverse materials like wood, terracotta, ceramics, stone, tamarind, and scrap, he explores their infinite symbolic and aesthetic possibilities. Drawing from the traditional Dhokra technique, his recent series experiments with scale, form, and unconventional mediums. Through this dialogue of tradition and reinvention, he creates a visual language that connects cultural heritage with contemporary relevance.

Durga Prasad lives and works in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, India
