JAYDEV CHOSALA b. 1996

Jaydev Chosala (b. 1996, Palitana, Gujarat) received his Diploma in Painting and A.T.D, Sheth C.N. College of Fine Arts, Ahmedabad, 2018, 2019.

His works have been exhibited at Gujarat Lalit Kala Academy, Ahmedabad, 2014, 2017; Gujarat Visual Artist Association, Ahmedabad, 2015; Kala Ravi Trust Competition Exhibition, Ahmedabad, 2016; Gujarat Kala Pratishthan Painting Exhibition, Surat, 2017; Painting Group Exhibition, Ahmedabad, 2018, 2022, 2023; and ICAC Art Gallery, Ahmedabad, 2020.

He was awarded the Gujarat Kala Pratishthan Painting Award, 2017.

His practice is rooted in creating layered textures that evoke the quiet transitions between sunrise and sunset. He aims to communicate stillness, inner reflection, and silent beauty using fluid and delicate forms that echo the formations of mountain ridges, the branching of trees, and cloud formations, reflecting his interpretation of landscapes as emotional, transient and sensory experiences.

Jaydev lives and works in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
