Jury Members for Space118 Fine Arts Grant 2023-24
Space118 Art Foundation invites applications from artists across India for its Production Grant, supporting the realization of both ongoing and newly conceived projects. Envisioned as a platform that nurtures artistic development, the programme brings together financial support, mentorship, and opportunities for public engagement.
At the core of the grant is a commitment to dialogue and process. Selected artists participate in two online mentorship sessions, along with a review session, with a senior or mid-career practitioner chosen by the jury. These interactions create space for critical exchange, offering artists guidance as they refine and expand their work. In addition to the grant bursary, recipients also have the opportunity to present their projects through a Virtual Open Studio Day, accessible on Space118’s digital platforms, including Instagram and Facebook.
The selection process involves a careful review of proposals and budgets, which are discussed and finalized in consultation with the jury and Space118 prior to the commencement of the grant. The jury for the 2023–24 cycle includes Lekha Poddar, Nikhil Chopra, Srinivas Aditya Mopidevi, and Shambhavi Singh, whose varied practices and perspectives shape the selection of grantees.
Mentorship for the year is led by Lekha Poddar, Nikhil Chopra, Indrapramit Roy, and Sanchayan Ghosh. Their engagement offers diverse insights, supporting artists as they develop their projects and bring them into public view.
