Space118 Art Foundation Fine Arts Grant 2019

Priyank Gothwal was awarded the Space118 Art Foundation Fine Arts Grant 2019, a prestigious recognition supporting emerging artistic practices. As part of the grant, he presented a two-month solo exhibition held from 10 January to 8 February 2020.

In addition to the exhibition opportunity, Priyank undertook an eight-week residency at Space118, which provided him with dedicated time and space to further develop his practice. The grant also included financial support of up to ₹1,00,000 to assist in the realization of his project.

The proposed budget and project plan were carefully reviewed and approved by the 2019–20 jury, comprising Shilpa Gupta (Artist), Mortimer Chatterjee (Gallerist and Curator), Anurag Khanna, along with the Space118 team. This process was conducted in close consultation with the selected grantee prior to the commencement of the grant.
