For art collector and Space118 Art Foundation founder Saloni Doshi, it begins with backing emerging talent long before the market does.
Through The Shifting of Silence, presented in collaboration with Blueprint12, Space118 brings together 32 emerging Indian artists at Bikaner House, New Delhi. Proceeds support the Space118 Fine Arts Grant, which provides funding and mentorship to artists across the country.
In an exclusive conversation with Robb Report India, Doshi reflects on her 17 years as an art collector, why collecting contemporary art should never be a solitary pursuit, and how supporting emerging artists early can shape the future of India’s contemporary art scene.
