Guests gushed as they followed The Woven Path, textile and fibre-based art from the Saloni Doshi Collection curated by Sharan Apparao, at Space118 Art Foundation, located at Wadibunder Road, Mazgaon

The walkthrough with the curator on preview evening was followed by a panel discussion: Sharan Apparao in conversation with Lekha Poddar and Saloni Doshi on Living with contemporary textile-based art.

This exquisite exhibition in five sections reflects how the raw inspiration of an idea, much like a cotton seed, takes root and is nurtured into fulfilment. The arrangement follows a rhythm, guided by natural order and geometric proportions with interventions and interpretations of the human mind shaping the final form of art.

The five sections in five studios include The Source, Crystallisation, Alchemy, Transformation, Realisation. There is also Woven Landscapes in the outdoor space, bringing together textile artists from contemporary India to transform our outdoor spaces into vibrant, immersive environments.

The Woven Path is open to the public till December 21, from 11 am to 5 pm.
