SEEMS like it has been a year full of milestones for Saloni Doshi, the art collector and founder of Space 118. After a rather successful curatorial debut show at Sakshi gallery in September, which marked 10 years of her Mazgaon-based residency space, Doshi rang in her 40th birthday at fellow collector Kavita Singh's beautiful home in Alibaug on Sunday. In attendance was most of the city's art fraternity - Arshiya Lokhandwala, Sree Goswami, Mortimer Chatterjee, Tara Lal, Shilpa Gupta and Rajiv Saini, Dinesh and Minal Vazirani, ara Mehta as well as Erika and Peter Born. Artist Tanya Goel and gallerist Aparajita Jain especially flew down from Delhi to celebrate her big day. Singh, of course, played a gracious host and even gave some of the lucky guests an art tour around her home.
