EDGE OF SPACE: Curated by Saloni Doshi

3 - 17 August 2025
Overview

Since the dawn of humanity, the relentless passage of time has shaped ideas, societies, and global narratives. In the past year alone, we have witnessed seismic shifts—technological advancements, climate crises, and the rise of artificial intelligence—blurring the lines between past and future, reality and imagination. Art, too, has transcended its traditional confines, becoming both a mirror and a catalyst for change.

At the heart of Edge of Space is the convergence of artistic expression and critical inquiry. The artists in this exhibition navigate uncertainty, examining the fluid boundaries between presence and absence, memory and transformation, nature and urbanity. Their works—spanning existential reflections, social critique, ecological consciousness, and urban transformation—offer a lens into a world in flux. Each piece becomes an entry point into an unfolding narrative, where struggle and hope coexist.

Departing from histories of displacement and ecological degradation, Edge of Space amplifies voices that speak of upheaval and renewal. Landscapes scarred by extractive economies and human conflict are reimagined as spaces of resilience and possibility. Within this charged terrain, personal fragility and collective endurance intertwine—a touch, a gesture, a fragmented memory, all forming part of a greater continuum.

This exhibition extends beyond geographical, temporal, and material boundaries, inviting reflection on shifting landscapes, personal histories, and collective memory. It prompts urgent questions: Can we reimagine tomorrow? Do we possess the courage to dream anew? In an era of rising global tensions, Edge of Space dares to imagine alternative possibilities—where myth and reality merge, and where art becomes an act of defiance, healing, and collective dreaming.
