Tushar Baraiya (b.1999, Bhavnagar, Gujarat) completed his Diploma in Drawing & Painting, Sheth C.N. College of Fine Arts, Ahmedabad, 2021, and Art Teacher’s Diploma (A.T.D.), 2022.
His works have been exhibited in group shows at Karnavati Art Gallery, Ahmedabad, 2018; Sheth C.N. College of Fine Arts, Ahmedabad, 2017, 2019, 2022; Gujarat State Lalit Kala Academy, Ahmedabad, 2018, 2023, 2024; Amdavad ni Gufa, Ahmedabad, 2024, 2025; Method Kala Ghoda, Mumbai, 2025; and L&P Hutheesing Visual Art Centre, Ahmedabad, 2025.
He received the Graphic Award, Gujarat State Lalit Kala Academy, 2020; Painting Award, Urban Landscape, Kala Ravi Trust, Ahmedabad, 2022; Painting Award, Gujarat Income Tax Wall Painting, 2022; and Graphic Award, Gujarat State Lalit Kala Academy, 2023.
His work is an exploration of texture, colour, and form, realised through the medium of thread. Drawn to its tactile nature, he constructs abstract compositions inspired by the dynamic interplay of nature, the sky, and personal experiences. His works are purely expressions of form and colour. His paintings exist solely as autonomous entities, devoid of external references or meanings.
Tushar currently lives and works in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
