MOHD INTIYAZ India, b. 1996

Overview

Mohd Intiyaz (b. 1996, Jharkhand , India) completed his BFA and MFA in Painting, Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi, 2017 and 2019 respectively. His works have been exhibited at various group shows including at Kochi Student’s Biennale, Kochi, 2018, Shrishti Art Gallery, Hyderabad, 2019, GalleryRa, Ahmedabad, 2021, Apparao Galleries in Lodhi Hotel, Delhi 2022, Lalit Kala academy New Delhi, 2022 and The Method, Mumbai, 2022. Additionally he has also participated in Art For Change International Art Residency, New Delhi, 2020 and Next Step Residency, 1 Shanti Road, Bangalore, 2021 and Khoj Peers residency, 2019. He is awarded with FICA emerging Artist award 2021 and Khoj support grant, 2020. 

 

Intiyaz lives and works in Delhi, India.

Memories of Delhi 2020

Project Overview: 

This project proposes a series of collaborative tapestry works created with zardozi artisans in Delhi, exploring fear, despair, and resilience within marginalized communities affected by communal violence. Combining painting, embroidery, and found fabrics, the work reflects on shared histories, collective memory, and the social fabric that connects artists and communities.
