SURESH SINGHA b. 1996

Suresh Kumar Singha (b.1995, Kolkata, West Bengal) completed his MFA in Painting from S.N. School of Arts and Communication, University of Hyderabad, 2020.

His works have been exhibited at West Bengal State Academy, Kolkata, 2015; Indian College of Arts and Draftsmanship, Kolkata, 2016; Art Incept, Gurugram, 2024; APPARAO Galleries, Chennai, 2025; Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre, Hong Kong, 2025.

He was awarded the Merit Award, Indian College of Arts and Draftsmanship, Kolkata, 2016; Principal Award, Indian College of Arts and Draftsmanship, Kolkata, 2018; and Artist Grant, 079 Stories, Ahmedabad, 2024. He was selected for the Space Studio Summer Residency, Vadodara, Gujarat, 2023.

His practice stems from observational dialogues with surroundings, exploring memory, language, and materiality. He reworks drawing, sound, and printmaking into layered painterly expressions that engage personal histories and collective narratives, examining displacement, myth, and ecological shifts in contemporary social contexts.

Suresh lives and works in Vadodara, Gujarat, India.
