Yogesh’s work explores the complexities of urban life, reflecting on the overlapping of conflicting boundaries of personal, social and public spaces. He investigates the vertical rise of cities through relief painting techniques that mirror the stacking of skyscrapers—symbols of both human ambition and environmental decline. These layered constructions in his work evoke a sense of shrinking spaces and encroachment, offering a silent yet pointed commentary on the impact of political agendas and rapid urban transformation. Through abstraction, Yogesh prompts viewers to contemplate the evolving nature of cities and the lived experience within them.
