Biography

Trapti Porwal (b.1994, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India) has completed her B.A. and M.A., and P.H.D, Visual Arts, 2016, 2018, 2025, Barkatullah University, Bhopal. Her works have been exhibited in group shows in India at AIFACS, Delhi, 2025, Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal, Alliance Francaise, Bhopal, CIMA Gallery, Kolkata, 2024, Swaraj Bhawan Bhopal, 2018, 2017, 2016. 

 

Her work centers on the theme of feminine beauty, where beauty is not just a physical trait, but a state of being that evokes joy and satisfaction. Drawing inspiration from the structure and adornment of the female body, she explores how women are often evaluated against conventional standards of beauty. She seeks to bring a new dimension to her art through the use of soft pastels, which embody the essence of gentleness and delicacy. Through these colours, she preserves the emotional depth and tenderness of her subject matter, striving to reveal an authentic reality that rises above distorted and superficial notions.
