Ratna Bardhan India, b. 1985
Ratna Bardhan (b. 1985, Kolkata, India) completed her BFA and MFA, Printmaking from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, 2013. Her works have been exhibited in group shows at B-CAF organization, Kolkata, 2024, Ampas art gallery, New Delhi, 2023, Birla Academy of Art & Culture Annual Exhibition, Delhi, 2020, Gallery 88, Kolkata, 2018, AIFACS annual Exhibition, Delhi, 2016, 1st Emami Chisel Annual Exhibition contemporary Indian Art, Kolkata, 2014, West Bengal Charu Kala Festivals, 2014 and Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi, 2012.
Additionally, Ratna has been a Guest Lecturer at College of visual arts Kolkata for 7 years, since 2017.
Ratna conveys her ideas to society through a series of simple, yet thoughtful expressions. Her work revolves around themes of nostalgic architecture from childhood memories, uplifting entertainment, and, most significantly, the natural ornaments and gifts of nature. She views her art as a bridge of love and affection, connecting her audience with these cherished elements of life.
