Kopal Seth

Kopal Seth, an artist based in Khurai, Madhya Pradesh, holds an MFA in Ceramics from the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence, USA, and a BFA in Painting from Maharaja Sayajirao University in Baroda. Her work has garnered attention and acclaim in various publications, including Hyperallergic, Providence Daily Dose, and Metro Philly. 

Kopal has exhibited her work internationally, with notable shows at The Clay Studio in Philadelphia, The Gelman Gallery at RISD Museum, The Lacoste/Keane Gallery in Concord, Art Centrix in New Delhi, and 47A Gallery in Mumbai. Her exhibitions span across India, China, and the United States, reflecting her global artistic presence. Kopal's diverse portfolio engages with themes such as overpopulation, architecture, and environmental chaos resulting from human intervention. Her work delves into emotional human conflicts, capturing the complexities and nuances of life. Through her art, Kopal presents a profound exploration of contemporary issues and the human condition. Kopal has participated in several prestigious residencies, including MenLo Art Gallery in Jingdezhen, China (2024); Tendu Leaf Jungle Resort in Panna, Madhya Pradesh, India (2023); Art Ichol in Maihar, Madhya Pradesh, India (2022); The Clay Studio in Philadelphia, PA, USA (2020-2021); and Bharat Bhawan in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India (2023). Her dedication has been recognized through various awards, such as the Ravi Jain Memorial Foundation Annual Award (Shortlisted) at Dhoomimal Art Gallery in New Delhi, India (2022), the NCECA Multicultural Fellowship from the National Council on Education for Ceramic Arts in Sacramento, USA (2022), a Graduate Fellowship at Rhode Island School of Design (2018-2020), and a Teaching Assistantship Fellowship at Rhode Island School of Design (2018-2020).
