NEHA CHOKSI USA, b. 1973
Overview
“Space 118 provided me a smooth transition from working in my studio in Los Angeles to working in Bombay. Those were productive months for me. Thank you Saloni!”
Neha received her M.A in Classics from Columbia University, New York and her BA in Greek and Art from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her work considers how to focus on presence through reduction and erasure. The work often has a poetic and absurd flavor leavened with the tragic-comic. The Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, Frieze Art Fair’s Sculpture Park, the Asia Pacific Triennial, and the Generali Foundation, Vienna havepresented Choksi’s work. Her work has been shown at the Enclave Gallery, London; the John Hansard Gallery, Southampton; the Queensland Art Gallery and at Project 88, India.
