Madhuri explores the fractal nature of the universe on canvas, delving into metaphysics through philosophical ideas in texts like the Bhagawad Gita. Her works are influenced by the illusory nature of the cosmos, impermanence, and a profound sense of the fleeting nature of time. She believes that the concept of “macrocosm and microcosms” holds infinite possibilities for artists and thinkers, remaining relevant from ancient to contemporary times. The eternal beauty lies in its timeless nature. Drawing inspiration from the Anu-renu (Divine God particles), smaller than the visible and perceivable only through Divya Drishti (Divine sight). For Kathe, a correlation emerges between the large and small, revealing universal truths. She perceives the world as transient, emphasising the supremacy and eternity of the mind.
Madhuri Kathe lives and works in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
