Dipesh’s works center around the philosophy of personal identity through psychological continuity. He engages in self-introspection, and is fascinated by his mind’s administration and withdrawal, reflecting on his memories in an attempt to understand himself better. His works build a bridge between past and present, aiming to coalesce towards an intuitive future. Despite external influences on his consciousness, he diverts from worldly matters, focusing on extrinsic factors defining his individual existence. Dipesh’s works feature symbolic images in a single environment, bridging childhood memories with semi-abstract, original themes. Using drawing as a means of capturing ideas and memories, he employs layering thoughts with overlapping distortion, fragmentation, and stylised symbolism, creating impactful works.
Dipesh Raj lives and works in Naigaon, Maharashtra, India.
