Archisman uses collage as a visual medium, to generate diverse interpretations, leading to conflicting dialogues with the viewer. His process involves randomly juxtaposing found images, exploring the element of chance and connections between remotely related visuals. This exploration often results in political, social, and historical narratives. Old magazine volumes serve as a potent source, not only reflecting his situations but also acting as a prelude to current realities. His works are rooted in experiences, reflecting the reality he either voluntarily engages with or conceives around him. By negating their source, he creates artistic ambivalence, fostering intended dialogues and subconscious anxiety within the artistic community he is a part of.

Archisman Roy lives and works in Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
