Prathap completed his B.F.A. in Printmaking from Andhra University and his M.V.A. in Printmaking from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda. He won the prestigious Gold medal for Printmaking, at both the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. His solo exhibitions include CCU Belgium, Brussels (2014), UAF Art Fair, New Delhi (2013) and Kitab Mahal, Mumbai (2008). He has also exhibited at several group shows including the Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi (2014), Felix Frachon, Brussels (2013), Vadehra Art Gallery, New Delhi (2009) at Dhoomimal Gallery, New Delhi (2006). Prathap was the recipient of the HRD National Scholarship (2007) and the ‘Vasu Dev Anwarz’ Fellowship (2006-08). He was also selected for Residency programs at HOM Art Trans, Malaysia (2013), Commonwealth Foundation ROSL ARTS, London/Scotland (2011) and at Khoj International Artist Residency for the Khoj Peers Residency in New Delhi (2007). In addition, he was the recipient of the Ravi Jain Annual Show Fellowship Award for Graphic Design by Dhoomimal Gallery in 2006.
