Janhavi Sharma holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Modern and Contemporary Indian Art and Curatorial Studies from the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum (2018) and a Bachelor's degree in Mass Media from HR College, Mumbai (2014). Her work has been part of a group exhibition at Pepper House, Kochi (2015), and she participated in The Roadtrip Experience Project, a travel/art residency in Sri Lanka (2016). Since 2016, she has been working independently as an artist and illustrator.
Janhavi’s practice combines visual art and writing to explore feminist narratives, with a particular focus on the representation of women in ancient Indian art and folklore. She is also interested in public art and how local identities are shaped and expressed within urban spaces.
